Dallas Road Monster Drag. Two.

Posted in Uncategorized by capitalcitycycles on March 9, 2011

(lone wolf)

Spring is coming, and to celebrate we’re hosting the third race of the Capital City Cycles Summer Race- The Dallas Road Monster Drag.  Last year the Monster Drag was the most fun, and most challenging race of the season, and we plan on blowing last years race out of the water this time around.

The date of the race is Saturday March 26th.

For starters we’re going ‘backwards’ this year, mainly for easy accessibility to post race beers.  So the race will start at Giro Park with a meeting/registration time of 6:15, and starting at 6:30 sharp, and if you’re late, we ain’t waitin’!

The race will end at the Beacon Hill Park flagpole, with the option to run up the grass hill or go around the road.  This will be the only spot on the course where there are two route options, we expect everyone to follow the traditional Dallas Rd. route, and there will be one checkpoint somewhere on the way to make sure.

There is going to be a get together after the race as well in a location that is to be announced.

If anyone has any question feel free to stop by the shop or give us a call.

Everyone welcome, all bikes welcome.

Let’s get awesome.

Windsor Park Crit Results!

Posted in Events by capitalcitycycles on July 28, 2010

We have no photo’s from the crit on Sunday, but everyone had a blast.  The race broke up into a few packs fairly quickly (the hungover, and the less hungover) but Jamie ended up taking the win (and a set of Velocity wheels that we donated) followed shortly by Andrew and our boy Halldor in third.  It was fun, and thanks again to all of the organizers for having us out, and Brandon for getting us in there.  We hope to do it again next year!

If anyone has any photos, please let us know!

Sometime near the start of July we are expecting our first frame from Atom Bikes out of Canmore Alberta.  These frames are handcrafted in Canada, and are totally custom, including a choice from hundreds of paint colours.  The price is going to be around $600 frame and fork, so they’re a hell of a deal for a handmade frame.  Can’t wait!
